Buffalo Creek Clean Water Partnership

Line Solid

You are invited to participate in the Buffalo Creek Clean Water Partnership! Our Vision is that Buffalo Creek will be a sustainable watershed success story with reduced erosion, improved water quality, thriving wildlife, decreased flooding and the beauty of native vegetation. This will be accomplished through collaborative and inclusive community and agency partnerships.

Our partners include the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission, Lake County Department of Health, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, all of the municipalities in the watershed, residents and many other interested parties. We sponsor family friendly volunteer events throughout the year.

Our watershed plan for Buffalo Creek is complete and has been approved by the Illinois EPA, Lake County Stormwater Management Commission, the Villages of Buffalo Grove , Long Grove, Deer Park and the Buffalo Grove Park District so far. To see it, click on the link.

Our next meeting will be at the Kildeer Village offices at 21911 Quentin Road at 6 pm on October 27, 2016.
